Statistically significant outcomes are the basis for evidence-based practice (EBP) projects, which are important for medical practice. Clinical significance applies to the desire to return to a patient’s stable state of function after treatment. However, it is more objective than statistical significance. For instance, it determines if the prescribed treatment achieved the intended goal (Fleischmann & Vaughan, 2019). A large sample size heavily affects the statistical significance in a study.
