Therefore, as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), the IOM reports from 2010 to 2016 can be used as a framework for transformations in the nursing profession and the health care delivery system (Altman et al., 2016). Hello everyone, my name is Chioma Onuoha. I am married with five kids. My focus in the MSN program is family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). I have been a registered nurse for more than ten years. And during those years, I have worked both in hospital, nursing homes and in people’s homes. I have been at the bedside providing holistic care to individuals and their families. Having worked in different capacity for that long, I believe that it’s about time that I advance my nursing career.
In the current time period of DNA genome sequencing, and other perimeter of research efforts that focuses heavily on the mastery of the human anatomy at an infinitesimal level, it is my utmost belief that the future of health care lies within the beck and call of the health care providers that have clasped the dividends of exploration and transformation. It was based on this hypothesis, that I started searching for a graduate nursing school that will train me to be able to conduct an in-depth research to ascertain the overall patient outcomes when health care providers adjust and employ new research initiatives in the treatment of the patient.
I reached a verdict that Walden MSN program will prepare me for this mission because her outcomes and perspectives relates to my professional and academic goal of becoming a scholar-practitioner. Walden university’s diversity, multiculturalism within their profession, communities and society as well as their global outreach and accessibility to busy adults, especially working professionals who are determined to advance their learning, positions her as my number one choice. Healthcare systems around the globe are becoming increasingly overwhelmed especially in the wake of this covid-19 era. As such, it has become imperative that healthcare professionals are highly needed in order to meet the demand for quality healthcare delivery systems in the 21st century. The covid-19 pandemic tested the quality of several healthcare emergency preparedness and disease surveillance systems around the world.
In addition to the lack of a potent vaccine, this situation succeeded in putting a strain on the existing lean healthcare workforce, particularly in the U.S., thereby creating a global crisis for quality of life, quality of healthcare delivery systems and well-being of communities and the human population overall. Hence the need to develop robust health policies that ensure sufficient healthcare funding, quality of health data collection, analysis, decision-making and by extension, the sustained wellbeing of humanity in the 21st century and beyond.
It is my prerogative to be part of the team that will provide solution to this problem. This is in line with Walden’s school of nursing’s vision to be recognized as a preeminent 21st-century school of nursing in which the contributions of nursing, health, and related sciences will transform the provision of nursing services along the continuum of care and across the human life span to meet the needs of individuals and local and global communities

My name is F,,, I live in New Jersey with my husband and son. I have been a telemetry and medical surgical nurse for six years. I truly enjoy what I do and find nursing to be very rewarding. Nursing is field of endless learning and constantly evolving so it is imperative to find a school with the same goals. I would like to continue to education the patient’s I treat professionally but I would like to continue to expand to the community and decrease health disparities where I work and within the community. Nursing requires a strong education foundation as well as the most up to date nursing information and research both of which I can use in goal of educating patients.
Walden’s vision and mission statement include expanding critical thinking skilling by transforming nursing education to today’s issues with evidence based practice to promote positive change (Walden University, 2021). Walden’s social change initiative allows for my goal of expanding my practice to the community and will provided me with the tools necessary to succeed in promoting health within the community and to provide culturally competent care (Walden, 2021).
Much has been done at a national level to decrease health disparities but not at the local level so my goal is to implement change to local communities (Wasserman et al., 2019). The Walden MSN program outcomes relate to my professional and academic goals because I want to be the very best nurse, student and future practitioner possible. Achieving each outcome means that I can deliver high quality, competent care and effectively diagnosis, assess and treat my patients. When joining college, nursing students are usually gray in many areas, and professional knowledge develops as they learn concepts in their respective fields and network with peers. For nurses to complete their programs successfully, academic and professional support is essential. This support is enhanced by collaborating inter-professionally. Interprofessional collaboration is vital in nursing since it provides nurses with platforms for social and professional interaction as they work in teams (Moss et al., 2016). It is a way to share knowledge and resources.
Networking opens a broader sphere of influence. According to Goolsby and Knestrick (2017), professional networking is an element that enables nurses to communicate with others with shared interests and expertise. It creates relationships that support new opportunities. Khanum et al. (2016) further mentioned that interdisciplinary networking provides nurses with contacts for personal development and establishing contacts that make them better patient care providers.
